“We are the last generation that can prevent irreparable damage to our planet,” General Assembly President María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés (Ecuador) warned the gathering in her opening remarks, stressing that 11 years are all that remain to avert catastrophe - this was back in 2019. 

We are all connected. We live in a world where our sense of fulfilment is not separate from the planet, or any other living being. We are social creatures at our heart, and it takes a village to live a truly deeply fulfilling life.

Many of us oscillate between feeling like we want to live the biggest life we imagine for ourselves, and then thinking we are only one person and that we can’t make a difference.

This thinking has got us to where we are. All it takes is one person, who is led by spirit to solve meaningful problems in the world, an illuminator, to begin to cast ripples across the world, raising the consciousness of the planet.

If enough of us, set a sustainable long term vision for our empire, when where the focus is on having the time of our lives along the way, living our ideal lifestyle, and not having to sacrifice in the name of purpose, than maybe together we will have a chance, at committing to a lifetime of growth and contribution, to have success to truly allow our purposeful empire to solve some of the greatest challenges we are faced with today.

Whether it’s climate change, or a personal problem you yourself overcome. I believe we had the audacity to turn that wound into wisdom and power, so we could become a beacon of light to illuminate the path for others to be free from suffering, and be all they were born to be too.
